Keeping Your House Safe is the Best Gift of All!
Hi again! It’s me, Julian!
The holidays are here, and that means cookies, candles, presents, and LOTS of decorations. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, or both (like some of my friends do!), it’s the perfect time to make your house feel magical. But guess what? Even magical houses need a little superhero help to stay safe.
So let’s talk about how to protect your home during the holidays—because nobody wants their gingerbread house to melt, catch fire, or get overloaded with twinkle lights!
Here are my Holiday Safety Super Tips:
Candles
Whether it’s a menorah or a cinnamon-scented candle, never leave them burning alone. Blow them out before bedtime or when you leave the room.
Fireplace
Fires are cozy, but they need a grown-up to watch them. Always use a screen so sparks don’t jump out like popcorn.
Christmas Tree
If it’s real, give it water every day. A dry tree can go up in flames faster than you can say “Santa!”
Hanukkah Lights
Menorahs are beautiful, but keep them away from curtains and paper decorations. Safety first, even during miracles!
Holiday Lights
Don’t plug in too many at once. Outlets aren’t superheroes—they can get tired and overheated.
So whether you’re spinning dreidels or hanging stockings, remember: being safe is the best gift you can give your house. And your house will thank you by keeping you warm, happy, and protected all season long.
